(DC) [Import] Digital Certificate (iOS)(older version)

Before installing your digital certificate on your Apple iOS device, please consult with the ISO page

Information Security Office
and ensure your device has been secured.

After installing a your digital certificate on your device, anyone with physical access to your device will have the ability to decrypt and view sensitive information within email or other applications on the device.  PLEASE ENSURE that you have protected/hardened as it very important to keep sensitive information away from prying eyes.

Last updated and accurate as of Aug 5, 2019.  It is not know what version of iOS these were written.  Use at your own risk.

  1. Transfer the certificate to your iOS device, the best way to do this is to download it from Stache using Safari. (Chrome for iOS does not automatically import the certificate)



  2. iOS will automatically install the p12 file as a profile. Click on the Install button, enter your device passcode when prompted. 

  1. You will get a warning that that profile is unsigned, click Install. When prompted, click Install again. 

  2. Enter the passcode for the p12 file and click Next. Click on Done to finalize the installation.
