Technical and Content Support

Content

The web content manager will maintain homepage and primary landing pages, with support and collaboration from relevant faculty and/or staff, and oversee content production and editing of lower-level pages from owners and contributors. Owners and contributors will be provided training on using the Drupal CMS and maintaining LBJ core site standards.

The web content manager will serve as a resource on all things content- and multimedia-related for owners and contributors, as needed. However, content contributors maintain responsibility for initializing edits to pages. Only when the content contributor encounters issues or questions with updates, or if the contributor believes required updates could necessitate a new page, will the web content manager become actively involved in the process.

The web content manager will coordinate meetings among the content contributors once per semester to relay high-level information regarding analytics and possible changes or improvements to the site, as well as to hear what challenges and issues those contributors may be encountering. Continued training will also be provided as needed.

Technical

The technical software developer will provide technical services for the core site, including security and server-related issues. Any request from content owners or contributors requiring technical support must be relayed through the web content manager. These requests will be evaluated and prioritized based on the strategy and standards laid out in this document.
