Electrical Revision B Layout Changes - PTN [WIP]

Electrical Revision B Layout Changes - PTN [WIP]

The following documentation are necessary and recommended layout changes for electrical PCBs following the concurrent creation of Revision A boards and enclosures. This is to ensure seamless design and integration of the final versions of boards and enclosures. There are also some additional guidelines listed below for layout design

Changes mainly include:

  • Connector reorientation and relocation

  • Embedded connector type changing

  • Updated embedded connector footprints

  • Mounting holes

  • Layout changes due to component interferences

PCB Layout Guidelines

  • Minimum 6mm keep out space for large components/mounting holes around vertical MX150 pin headers. And it would be preferred if the pins were closer to the center of the board

  • For 90 deg MX150 pin headers, they must be directly on the board edge. And it would be preferred if it was centered (i.e not at any board corner but near the middle of the edge it resides on)

LV Carrier

  • CAN connectors to be closer to top right of board

BBPDU

  • Mounting hole(s) near center of pcb

  • GND connectors to be closer or on the same side as the power outputs

  • Internal power pins to be closer to SOM

(none of this is critical, only change if convenient)

Pedals

  • MX150 Pin header footprint will update, currently the pins are too close to each other

Sus

  • Change to 90 deg MX150 pin headers

Air

  • Change to 90 deg MX150 pin headers
