    • Discuss last meeting of the semester (Dec. 10th) 

    • Setting a reoccurring time for the spring semester

    • Discuss possible informal working sessions prior to winter break

    • Who do we want to invite to speak next semester?

  • Quick look at the evaluation Matrix for Archival Management Systems

  • Recap of the presentations - How do they measure up to existing needs?

  • Possibly following up with Dan from Artefactual to answer questions

    • How do you determine the pricing for customizations and sponsored development?

    • Can you discuss the crowd-funding model in which multiple repositories can share the cost of a sponsored customization?

    • Can you discuss the pricing for systems support?

    • What does the current roadmap look like for the next few releases - will MARC export be included in the next release?

    • What about EAD3? Has your team already started planning for a new implementation of that?

    • World Bank mentioned customizing Atom with an expanded collection tree-view to show users where they are in the hierarchy. Will these sorts of individual customizations make it into broader release?

    • Can you talk about Artefactual's current capacity for development support and technical documentation compared to growing demand? Are there plans to ramp up staffing/support resources?

  • Let's think about doing next semester in the workday - still on Wednesday - send out a Doodle

    • Think about doing it too frequently

  • Membership getting light on the bi-monthly meeting

  • We need to check for conflicts with other working groups on campus

  • Might be good before or at the December meeting

  • Might be good to put together a schedule/timeline so that people can see where the tasks are on the timeline

  • Making sure there are time set aside for sharing

Questions about stuff with Mark

 

  • We are confused about the Portal to Texas History - do they only take stuff that is related to Texas history because we aren't

  • Does everything that gets submitted to the Portal go to DPLA - What is the selection criteria for pushing the content to the DPLA

  • Services that the Portal provides to repositories

  • ArchivesGrid - are you planning on growing the role that you have in this larger ecosystem

Functional Requirements

  • Perhaps we should be more specific in terms of what we mean for multiple respository an run the functional requirements by the

  • Jessi is interested in contacting other people about their experiences with ArchivesSpace

  • On the Orbis Cascade, the Archives Working Group, they have the contact into for a different person

Proposal

  • Present the case to UT Libraries system

  • Present the case to our directors

  • Present the case to the Presidents Office

  • HRC priorities in the strategic plan does not include archival description

    • It would be good to put the proposal together and work on getting something in place so that if it is vetted, HRC might look into it

    • Is there some minimal stuff - phased approach for priming ourselves for the creation of authority records
