CMB 6.112 Studio 6B - Front of House Guide
1 Line PDF of the 6B AV system for audio is here on UT box https://utexas.box.com/s/9mz5zxmo0rg6qzyn9k0y2qnzzajk45a9
The Yamaha TF1 Mixer is stored in the CMB 6B cage. |
The mixer is already configured for the room, so it should be plug and play from an end-user standpoint. Set up the mixer by the entrance and connect power and ethernet to the Dante Primary port. |
Connect the other end of the ethernet cable to the 7A1D01 port on the south wall by the entrance. Power the mixer on and wait one minute.
Once you power on the mixer and wait for the mixer to configure itself, you will hear the noise floor from the main speakers disappear. This is because the mixer is configured to mute the teaching station Crestron system so that the entire room is controlled by the mixer.
You will not see any visible change on the teaching station Crestron touch panel. You will not hear anything from the system unless it is turned up at the FOH mixer. |
The mixer should look like this when it boots up - Ch. 1-4 for default microphones, Ch. 5-12 for additional inputs via the Tio in the rack behind the curtain on the North wall, Ch. 13-14 for Crestron, and Ch. 15-16 Bluetooth.
NOTE: The mixer is muting the Crestron system by sending pink noise generated by the mixer to Aux 19/20, which is being sent to the Biamp via Dante. When Biamp detects this signal from the mixer, it will mute the system.
If the mixer isn’t muting the system, check that Aux 19/20 are receiving pink noise. Press the headphones in the top right corner of the touch panel to get to the menu shown here. |
