Started coding CGSG010

Halfway through!

6

Completed assignments

On January 12, I began my work by transcribing CGSG008 and logging my hours, planning to update my calendar the following day. On January 13, I continued transcribing CGSG008 and recorded my work hours in Google Calendar. By January 14, I transitioned from transcription to coding CGSG008, and on January 15, I successfully completed the coding for this script

7

On January 20, I completed the orientation video and began organizing my workflow by creating a lab notebook and wiki system to track coding progress. I also requested access to Smartsheet to track patient codes and adjusted my work schedule to start earlier. On January 21, I updated the wiki with my progress, completed my 1Password setup, and began coding CGSG009. The following day, January 22, I reported that I was approximately 50% complete with CGSG009 coding, a task assigned by Giselle A. Yoshimoto, and planned to finish it during my next shift while preparing to begin PTSG009.

8

Between January 25 and 26, I maintained communication with my supervisors regarding scheduling changes and requested both a time shift and remote work options. On January 27, I completed both the coding and transcription for CGSG009 and PTSG009. I also reviewed VISTAS protocols to refresh my knowledge and ensured compliance with data security by deleting scripts from my personal computer. I planned to begin transcribing CGSG010 during my next shift.

9

On January 28, I started transcribing and coding CGSG010, and on January 29, I continued working on it, though it was not yet complete. By February 2, I was nearing completion of CGSG010 transcription and was waiting on scripts for BISE027, while also adjusting my schedule again to start earlier. On February 3, I refreshed my knowledge by watching the VISTAS FOILS training video and worked on survey completion by adding validation, planning to resume CGSG010 afterward.

10

On February 4, I completed VISTAS FOILS for Scripts 1 and 2 and began working on Script 3, anticipating revisions based on supervisor feedback. On February 5, I revised Scripts 1 and 2 to simplify them and improve participant accessibility, while continuing progress on Script 3. By February 9, I finalized fixes for Script 2, prepared Script 3 for review, and began Script 4. I also asked for clarification about recording the FOILS process for training and wiki documentation.

11

On February 10, I continued progress on CGSG010 transcription and began preparing for CGSG012 transcription in RedCap, while waiting on FOILS feedback and access to additional materials. On February 11, I continued both CGSG010 and Script 4 work, and created a screen recording tutorial demonstrating FOILS steps, which I added to the wiki, noting minor technical issues with video upload. On February 12, I successfully uploaded the FOILS tutorial video along with written instructions to the wiki and continued working on CGSG010 and Script 4.

12

On February 16, I continued CGSG010 transcription and participated in a Zoom meeting with my supervisor, Cruz. During this meeting, I was introduced to new tasks involving editing Qualtrics logs and updating Adverse Events (BISE023), and I began familiarizing myself with the workflow and documentation requirements. On February 17, I completed Script 4 FOILS for BISE027 and prepared it for review, while continuing CGSG010 transcription and planning to begin Script 5 and the new Qualtrics and adverse event tasks.

13

On February 18, I reviewed all BISE027 scripts to ensure consistency, appropriate difficulty level, and grammatical accuracy. I continued CGSG010 transcription and began working on adverse event logs, verifying time logs using videos, Excel sheets, and RedCap entries. I also asked clarifying questions regarding discrepancies between patient reports and Qualtrics data. On February 19, I continued CGSG010 transcription and verified adverse event data accuracy, scheduling a meeting with my supervisor to review my work.

14

On February 23, I completed coding for CGSG010 and met with my supervisor to clarify proper procedures for the adverse event log. I then began coding CGSG012 while continuing adverse event documentation. On February 24, I continued working on adverse event logs, corrected Qualtrics Excel highlights, and learned decision-making rules for determining when to rely on patient reports versus Qualtrics data. I also contributed clarifications to the SOP/FAQ through team discussion.

15

On February 25, I added data to the BISE023 VISTA practice log and entered CGSG012 three-month follow-up (3MFU) data into RedCap, planning to review the process with video support during my next shift. On February 26, I continued following along with the CGSG012 RedCap training video, though the task was not yet complete.

16

On March 2, I continued working on the CGSG012 RedCap process, completed coding for PTSG010, and began coding CGSG012. On March 3, I continued active work, maintaining progress on CGSG012 coding and RedCap-related tasks. In the following days, I consistently checked in and out while continuing to build familiarity with transcription workflows and data systems. Between March 3 and March 6, I worked on coding CGSG012 and followed along with 3-month follow-up (3MFU) training modules to better understand RedCap procedures.

17

Between March 6 and March 9, I participated in a Communication Partner Session using Script 3, where I prepared questions and facilitated conversation with a patient diagnosed with nonfluent variant primary progressive aphasia (nfvPPA). During this session, I practiced using open-ended questions, allowing extra response time, and paraphrasing to support communication. I received positive feedback for successfully engaging the patient and increasing their participation, while also being advised to ask more follow-up questions and remain on topics longer to deepen conversation.

18

From March 9 to March 13, I continued coding CGSG012 and completed my review of the 3MFU training materials. During this time, I demonstrated increased confidence in navigating transcription and RedCap processes. Between March 13 and March 20, I completed the SSAD004 paper homework task by transferring materials from Qualtrics into a paper format and modifying them to better suit participant needs by removing writing components and reducing repetition.

19

From March 20 to March 24, I began transcribing PTSG009 in Phase 2 format and was introduced to adverse event log work. Between March 24 and March 26, I continued transcribing PTSG009 while also beginning to work with caregiver comments and entering data into RedCap. From March 25 through the end of March, I continued balancing transcription work with adverse event documentation and data entry tasks, while maintaining consistent communication and scheduling updates.

20

By the end of March, I completed transcription of PTSG009 and began transcribing CGSG009. This marked a transition into more independent work, as I was able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

21

From April 1 to April 7, I continued transcribing CGSG009 while also working on passing caregiver comments into RedCap and becoming more familiar with DEMQOL and CDR data entry processes. Between April 7 and April 13, I continued working on RedCap data entry, DEMQOL tasks, and Phase 2 transcription work, further improving my efficiency and accuracy.

22

On April 13 and 14, I completed passing caregiver comments for CGSG012 into RedCap and continued working on DEMQOL tasks. Between April 14 and April 16, I completed entering clinician comments for CGSG012, demonstrating improved understanding of documentation requirements and data organization.

23

From April 16 to April 20, I worked on the adverse event log for SSSE008, carefully reviewing and updating entries for accuracy. Between April 20 and April 22, I completed the adverse event log for SSSE008, including both 6-month follow-up (6MFU) and 12-month follow-up (12MFU) data, and began making formatting adjustments to Excel files as needed.

24

Between April 22 and April 23, I completed the Excel tracking sheet for BISE023 (6MFU) and asked clarifying questions regarding differences between LRT and VISTA data entry procedures to ensure accuracy in documentation. From April 23 onward, I continued working on adverse event logs for SSLP009 (LRT), demonstrating attention to detail and continued growth in handling more complex data systems.
