Aug 24, 2026 | LRT Materials Orientation | Progress: I have read all Wiki pages about the updated LRT Materials workflow I have watched the Course Overview + Introduction to the Shell video I attended Diana’s Fall 2026 RA orientation meeting Next Shift: Complete Intro to the Shell exercises I believe I need to complete a training run with a sample patient. I will update here once I have finished the WSL bash exercises before proceeding. Question: In order to complete the coding practice exercises on my Windows desktop, I need to log into an Admin account to download Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). This is what the course site says about downloading: “If you are on Windows, you need to make sure you are not running cmd.exe or PowerShell; you can use Windows Subsystem for Linux or a Linux virtual machine to use Unix-style command-line tools.” Please let me know how I should move forward to complete the exercises. |

Aug 31, 2026 | Resolving 1Password Issues + LRT Generation Setup | Progress: I attended Jimena’s LRT Automated Materials Generation orientation I am working on the setup of programs, python, etc Next Shift: Work on the practice LRT Generation Blocks/Pending: I received a link to recover my 1Password account, but I still received the same “transfer encryption key” prompts. On Monday, Sept 14, I will not be able to come to the MADR lab. I have a doctor’s appointment that day that I need to travel home to Houston for. Thankfully, the school that I volunteer at on Fridays has a parent conference day on the 18th, which gives me a free morning. I am able to make up my hours that day on Friday, Sept 18, from 8am-12:30pm. |
