AVID Media Composer - How to Add The RTF Content Warning To Your Timeline

Download the .bin file to open into your Resolve Project

Click on the above link and choose

>Download from the upper right corner to download the templates

Double click the zipped file to open it

Select the locate the MediaComposer-Content Warning_CLASS-TEMPLATE.avb file

Open AVID Media Composer

Make a copy of the timeline you are going to export for the screenings

>Select the timeline and choose command D to duplicate

Next go to >File > Open Bin

Navigate to >Downloads>Content-Warning-Graphics-Templates>MediaComposer-Content-Warning_CLASS-TEMPLATE.avb

Select Open

On the timeline add a new video track

>Timeline>New>Video Track

On the top most video track that should be empty mark off a 4 second duration of the timeline to add the title

Drag the content warning down to the 4 second region marked off on the video track.

 

You want to add the content warning on to the video track

Make sure your “TV” is on the topmost track so you can see the title you just added

Click on the Titler Plus icon to access the title tool

Select the text on the second line and modify it to include the content warning that it needs to include

Add a dissolve to the head and the end of the content warning to fade it in and out.
