AVID - How to Create and Account and Redeem Software Code

Go to avid.com and create an account if you don't *already* have an AVID login credentials	https://www.avid.com/#Audio
click on Sign In
click on Create an AVID Master Account
put in all the info and choose Create an account
Choose to Register Software With Code
Put in the serial number you got in the email from your faculty or TA
If you have not put your billing information into your AVID.com account you will get this error
Fill in all information needed here And click on Confirm
Then click on Register product again
It'll take a bit to load into the AVID website
The code will activate a license that is good for one year Go to your "My Products" tab and the product will show as "Active"
Next click on the VIEW Software Download Links and Product Details ONLY NEED TO DO THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY INSTALLED AVID IF YOU ALREADY INSTALLED AVID SKIP THIS STEP and the Install step.
Click on the download link for your Media Composer Installer. Then when downloaded run the installer.
Everyone Needs to do this Then open AVID LInk after the installer finishes or if you already have it installed and you are running the 30 day trial
Go ahead and sign out if you are signed in Then Sign in to your AVID Master Account
Click on Products
If you had the trial activated the license will say trial when you log in
Wait for about 2 or so minutes and the account will sync and your activation code will load and activate the full version of AVID
When you open AVID you need to choose Electronic Activation I Want to activate my software using AVID Link
When AVID opens your license should say Activated on the splash screen

ONLY NEED TO DO THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY INSTALLED AVID

IF YOU ALREADY INSTALLED AVID SKIP THIS STEP and the Install step.
