Separable Object Components
Whole artworks comprised of physically separable components require component records to track unique locations for each physically independent part.
For Equipment and Copy (media copies) component details see Multi-part Artworks, Portfolios, Accessories, Housings
For physcially inseparable objects, like two-sided drawings, bound pages in a book, etc. see Multi-part Artworks, Portfolios, Accessories, Housings
All TMS object records automatically have one component listed. Delete or reuse the default component for multicomponent works.
Component records can also be used to track objects related to an artwork like display accessories like dedicated mounts or frames. Images for components should be added to both the main object photography module, and each component image should also be linked at the component level to identify each part.
