MFPS - Field - Router operation (Smart Videohub)
This is a quick overview on how to operate the video router in Rack 100, the Engineer’s rack.
Operation from the front panel. |
|---|---|
Make sure you are working with the correct device in the rack. You want to be using the Blackmagic Smart Videohub (router), NOT the ATEM. |
From the front panel you will first select the ‘Destination’ function key so it lights up.
The other key that lights up is the currently selected video signal destination. It’ll probably be whatever was selected last, so you will probably want to choose a new one. |
Select the Destination output channel you want to send a signal to.
In this image I’ve chosen channel 3 as my destination. On the screen you can see that it is Switcher Input 3. |
Next, select the Source function key. This is the Source (router input), you want to send to your Destination (router output). The red Take light should now be blinking. But don’t select it yet. |
Next you will choose the source you want. I’m choosing input #2, which as you can see on the screen is Camera 2. It will be routed to Switcher input 3. Which doesn’t make any sense, but it’s just an example.
To execute the change you will next press the blinking red TAKE button.
If you have changed your mind you can press the CLEAR button and nothing will change. |
Troubleshooting |
|---|---|
If someone has changed all the naming for the different input and outputs you will need to connect to the internet and download the default setup file for the Videohub. |
