Notes

--There are recipes for ramp up and ramp down from April 21 and 22, 2016 on Bravo's Amber. The bake temperature is 1350 C. Bake til rollover, took 3 hours at temperature. We left it hot for longer. The cell was cooled off and is now under 30 C. --The BOS N2 line can be disconnected and taped to the BOS table in an obvious way, so we can use the line as an extra GC glovebag N2 source. It needs to be reconnected before venting the BOS.

Progress Plan 2014

7/14/14-7/21/14 – Comment period and create Wiki updates needed page. Look at which pages were delegated to you. I loosely organized them by Editor, search for your initials to ferret out all your pages. Look at the Wiki for yourself, especially wiki pages delegated to you. Read the How to Wiki page.

As I said, the work is split to harmonize with persons’ knowledge without overloading any one person. Many pages are assigned two people that can work together on the page in some manner. Most of these pages are created, but some are mislabeled, old, or ancient (circa SRB’s PhD). A few pages need to be created, in the appropriate place.

Use the How to Wiki page as an example of how to create a good wiki page. It has clear goals, sentences, organization, and images that add value. Ex: It is a page of guidelines and not a procedure, so it uses bullet points instead of numbers. Each page should be accurate and detailed enough to inspire confidence in a wavering mid-tier grad student.

Working on this transfer of knowledge will reduce pestering in the future and help the lab operation and maintenance cycles in the future. This is good for everyone.
