How to Connect to the Pickle Konica Minolta Printers

To connect your mac to the Konica printer, follow these steps:
Install the Konica Minolta C454e PS driver from the Konica website http://onyxweb.mykonicaminolta.com/onestopproductsupport/SearchResults?quickSearch=c454e
Go to System Preferences -> Print and Scan. Click the + button to add a new printer.
Choose IP, and enter the settings:
*Address: 172.16.40.5 (downstairs) 172.16.40.6 (upstairs)
*Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
*Use: KONICA MINOLTA C454e PSSetup:
*Paper Source Unit: PC-410
*Finisher: FS-533
*Punch Unit: PK-520 (2/3-Hole)
*Hard disk, Allow Public User, and 1200dpi Rendering Op. checkedThe printer is set up, but account authorization must be enabled in order to print. To do this, first print a test page. In the print options window, choose "Output Method" from the "Preview" drop down menu. Under Output Method, choose "Account Track". You will be prompted to enter a department and password- leave the department blank and enter the 4-digit print code given to you by Christine as the password.
To make secure printing the default, choose "Save Current Settings as Preset" from the "Presets" drop down menu.
Note: These instructions are for OS 10.8.5, but should be similar for other operating systems.
Windows
Install the Konica Minolta C454e PS driver from the Konica website http://onyxweb.mykonicaminolta.com/onestopproductsupport/SearchResults?quickSearch=c454e a. Use the latest drivers
Open up the add printers and devices (Control Panel) a. Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers
'Add Printer'
While your computer tries to automatically fine printers on the network (i.e. all printers at PRC), select 'the printer I want wasn't listed' a. Search by IP address b. The IP Address for the printers are:
172.16.40.5 (downstairs)
172.16.40.6 (upstairs)
After you have completed the install, you will need to go to the Devices and Printers window in your Windows Start menu. Right-click on the newly installed printer and select printer properties.
Click the Settings tab (far-right tab).
Within the Settings tab, click on Authentication Settings. Check the top two boxes and click OK
Click OK to close the printer settings dialog.
You should now be able to print using the 4-digit printer code
