Server Access

Server Access

There is already a 'share' user created on the server that can be accessed by anyone that knows the credentials. This user's home directory will act as our common file repository. The easiest way to access the 'share' directory is directly (by logging in as the 'share' user) using one of the following methods:

Samba (Windows File Sharing)

Note: This won't work outside of the UT network unless you use ssh tunneling.

  • Windows 7, 8, and 10

  1. Click on the Start Menu and right click on 'Network' (right side of the Start Menu)

    1. For Windows 8 and 10, open the Windows file explorer and right click on 'Network' on the left side

    • Click on 'Map Network Drive...'
