authenticated access for the service was unavailable from 9:08 a.m. to 2:38 p.m.
- caused by upgrade to the uTexas Enterprise Directory (TED)
- IAM directory service team placed an entry in the LDAP access control list (ACL) for the Wikis service which solved the issue

made sure I could still log onto both instances, did some reconnaissance on the VMs

- filtering library in Python (~60% done)

setting up machine with:
- Inkscape SVG editor

exploring repository, reading Jordan's notes, experimenting with Inkscape and Python filtering library

generated new key, certificate signing request for production instance

assisted IAM directory service team with testing LDAP ACL change on wikis development server
troubleshooting additional user-assumed authentication issues
- checked through the logs, one individual had an LDAP response timeout the other used an incorrect password – there do not seem to be any lingering issues with LDAP authentication (or LDAP timed out responses for that matter)
