Issues

UTForge

  • memory usage has increased to the point that project creation fails intermittently with out of memory errors

    • created incident 20330 in ITS incident mgmt

    • I have a work-around for the time being and a maintenance window to perform the upgrade has been scheduled for 02/22/2011 at 9 a.m.

Contracts administration

  • attempt at upgrading packages on the Contract's team development virtual server (edsel) – ran out of disk space so the upgrade was unsuccessful

    • need to review disk space usage as well as stale users that still have a home directory and permissions on the system

  • production virtual server (capps) is at capacity

    • Michael reported memory usage was such that he could not run a Sphinx search server on the box for the Eureka project

Virtual servers

  • we need to have a discussion with Systems regarding coverage for our production virtual servers

  • Economics contract test server research regarding the following error:

    • NSS_Initialize failed. Certificate database: /etc/httpd/alias.
      SSL Library Error: -8038 SEC_ERROR_NOT_INITIALIZED

    • resolution:

      • change the permissions on all NSS db files so that the apache user can read i.e.: /etc/httpd/alias/*.db chgrp apache chmod 640"

UTForge

    • testing service EID connections to TED using different means (SVN command line, ldapsearch)

    • further investigation into logs

    • separate discussions with Larry and Oliver regarding the problem

  • cleaning up some stale repository information on JIRA server

  • set up a new project for Christina
